Hello, fellow adventurers!

The solemn fitness contract is going splendidly!

This week, 5 of our cousins voted against doing their spring break in San Diego, and chose to spend it with us instead!

If my lifestyle consisted entirely of playing with cousins, I would be happier and more ripped than this guy.

How's The Back?

TL;DR My chiropractor recommended seeing a surgeon. Also, my workout seems to take some of the pain away.

I went over my MRI results with my chiropractor this week. He recommended that I talk to a spinal surgeon, because IF what the MRI shows is actually the cause of the pain, the only way to fix it is by shaving down my facet joints a wee tad.

I would really like not to get back surgery, so I will consult with a surgeon, but carry on looking for alternative explanations/treatments.

This is all coming from a comment on the MRI saying that I have "mild facet arthropathy" at the base of my spine.

Interesting Thing

Doing my workout seems to help my back! Maybe it's the hanging during the pull ups and dips, or maybe it's how you have to brace your core during all of these things.

Doing anything that resembles a sit up makes it flare up, though.

Workout Progress

I added 20lbs on the second two sets of pull ups and dips!

Also, we went to a trampoline park in Provo with the cousins.

Chronic pain is so bizarre. Two weeks ago I could barely sit up, and this week I felt well enough to do this:

Someone asked what Before Failure and After Failure means.

I basically try to get as many consecutive reps as I can before giving out. When I give out, that's "failure". Then I do more reps until I hit 8, or until I just can't go anymore.
